Empowering New Dreams Foundation, Inc. is a Georgia nonprofit organization (501(c)(3) pending). We are dedicated to transforming the lives of children K-12 by providing equitable access to essential resources, unwavering support, and life-changing opportunities. We champion the potential within every child – locally and globally – empowering them to rise above limitation, embrace knowledge, and shape a future filled with promise, purpose, and possibility.

Our Story
Our Founding Story: Inspired by a Boy Named Mark
Sometimes, the most profound movements begin with the quiet courage of a child. In the heart of Liberia, amidst a casual conversation between friends, a young boy named Mark Fayah changed the course of our lives. He was just six years old, but his determination and bravery carried the weight of generations. Mark approached Senator John Ballout, a friend of our family, while he was deep in conversation with a group of gentlemen. With wide eyes and a steady voice, Mark asked if he could speak. Surprised but intrigued, the Senator agreed. What followed was a moment that none of us would forget. “I want to go to school,” Mark said. “But my people can’t afford to send me.”
The next day, my husband Joseph and I arrived in Liberia. Senator Ballout shared the story with us, and we were immediately captivated. Mark had seen an opportunity and he took his shot. He had nothing to lose—but everything to gain. Before we even met him, Joseph and I knew: we would sponsor Mark. Over the next few weeks, we met many more children like him—bright, eager, full of potential, yet held back by circumstances beyond their control. Each child carried a dream, and all they needed was a chance. “That chance became our mission”.
Our nonprofit was born from Mark’s courage—a reminder that even the smallest voice can spark a movement. We are here to open doors, to nurture potential, and to ensure that no child is denied an education simply because of where they were born or what they cannot afford.
Mark’s story is just the beginning. With every child we support, we honor his bravery and the belief that opportunity should never be a privilege—it should be a right.
