Darlene Adams-Dixon, CEO/Founder

Darlene Adams-Dixon is committed to serving others; it has been the cornerstone of her life and career. Darlene is a Combat Veteran who served in the United States Army completing her final tour in Iraq in 2004. Darlene has always been driven by the belief that every person deserves the chance to thrive. Through her work, she has seen firsthand how lives can change when people are given the tools, guidance, and encouragement to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. She has dedicated herself to empowering individuals and helping them overcome barriers. Her experiences have deepened her understanding of resilience and the transformative impact of support, advocacy, and opportunity. Darlene has worked as an advocate on the State, Federal and Community levels providing tools, guidance, and encouragement to other veterans, people in underserved communities and individuals with disabilities and/or barriers as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist and as a Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist. Her commitment extends far beyond her professional endeavors to a broader vision of fostering equity, empowerment, and sustainability in our communities. Throughout her experiences, she has seen how meaningful engagement can address challenges, empower individuals, and foster stronger communities.

Tina N. Aldridge, Board of Directors/Vice-Chair

Tina Aldridge has lived with blindness for 25 years. Diagnosed with Stargardt Disease, which causes progressive vision loss, as a young single mother, Ms. Aldridge knew nothing about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), The Rehabilitation Act, functional limitations, or reasonable accommodations. She struggled to maintain her job and independence. Her vision loss took away her ability to drive and create far-reaching social and economic consequences. Ms. Aldridge knew things needed to change, for herself and for others with Disabilities. Fueled by her personal experience and struggle for access, Ms. Aldridge has built a professional career in disability advocacy and public service, becoming a national leader in accessibility. She has worked in state and federal vocational rehabilitation in Georgia and Washington, D.C. Through her own life and her professional endeavors, Ms. Aldridge maintains her primary focus – to improve the lives and opportunities for people with disabilities. She served on Georgia Governor Brian Kemp’s State Rehabilitation Council, ensuring the voices and needs of the state’s disabled community are heard. Ms. Aldridge holds a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Georgia State University. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Vision Rehabilitation Specialist.

Joseph W. Dixon, Board of Directors/Treasurer

Joseph Wreh Dixon, MSc, PMP, CISSP, is an experienced IT Engineer and Cybersecurity Professional with a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Liberia and a Master of Science in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University. Before attending Northwestern, Joseph taught 6th, 7th and 8th graders, Math and Religion at Sacred Heart Catholic School in New Jersey. He is dedicated to education and assisting others in achieving their highest potential. His background in accounting as well as his life experiences will be a great asset.

Thomas L. Green, Board of Directors/Secretary

Thomas Green has been a passionate Community Advocate for the past 35 years. Thomas has dedicated his life to serving the local community. Throughout his incredible journey, he has had the privilege of spearheading numerous community projects that have made a tangible impact on the lives of those served. His passion for community service is not just a job; it’s a calling that fuels his energy and ambition every single day. Thomas firmly believes that it is our collective responsibility to build and sustain vibrant communities. This belief is what drives him to take action and inspire others to join him on this journey. Serving the community is not just a duty; it’s the first vital step toward fulfilling our responsibility as engaged and compassionate individuals. Thomas is a firm advocate of the idea that when we invest in our community, we are ultimately investing in ourselves and creating a better environment for everyone. His journey has not always been easy, but every challenge has only reinforced his resolve to champion community service. He approaches each obstacle with a spirit of determination, knowing that the impact of our efforts can ripple outwards in ways we may never fully comprehend.
